  • PAL: The Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) is a new requirement introduced in 2024 for study permit applicants applying to certain provinces. A PAL confirms that your institution has a provincial cap space allocated for international students. It is required for the study permit application process and plays a key role in managing the intake of international students while maintaining quality and sustainability in the education system.
  • Proof of Financial Support: Demonstrate that you can pay tuition fees, living expenses, and return transportation for yourself and any accompanying family members.

  • No Criminal Record: A police certificate may be required.

  • Health Examination: Some applicants must undergo a medical exam to prove good health.

  • Interview with Immigration Officials: Depending on your application, you may be asked to attend an interview.

Documents Typically Required:

  • A valid passport

  • Proof of funds documentation

  • Passport-sized photographs (as per guidelines)

  • Immigration Medical Examination results, if required
